Scope: Outpatient Substance Abuse & Dependency Clinic

Client: Montefiore Nyack Hospital

Location: Nyack, New York

PDS assisted Montefiore Nyack Hospital to perform modifications to an existing 6,000 square foot storefront at the HUB Plaza.  The space was redesigned to house the Outpatient Substance Abuse Dependency Clinic. The center offers therapy, counseling and psychiatric help for people recovering from addiction.  The outpatient clinic was moved to a location more accessible to the community in order to provide more accessibility with parking and public transportation.

The existing facility was fully demolished and redesigned to include a new reception/waiting area, three group rooms, nine consultation offices, and two support offices.  Staff support areas, including the staff lounge, nurse station, medication room, and four accessible toilet rooms were added.  New building support functions such as the soiled holding room, clean storage room, equipment supply storage room, environmental service room, electrical closet, IT closet, and nourishment pantry were also designed and included within the facility.
