Scope: Emergency Trauma Department Expansion

Client: Hackensack Meridian Health - Hackensack University Medical Center

The increase in patient volume in the Emergency Trauma Department has resulted in crowding of patients in the department which sees over 111,000 patients each year and admits over 2,000 trauma patients.

The project began with expanding its existing Emergency Trauma Center with 75 new private patient treatment rooms, state of the art specialty areas of care including Geriatric, Oncology Cardiology and Trauma Care with new radiology and computerized tomography equipment, as well as future growth opportunity of its Surgical Department as part of a 3-story infill building.

The expansion of the 5 phased construction project consists of over 35,000 SF of renovated area and over 23,000 SF of new construction.
