HackensackUMC contracted with Pomarico Design Studio to design a Mobile Acute Care Hospital. The MSS was designed to act as a a complete surgical suite, complete with scrub facilities, surgical field, and a small Central Processing area. All vehicles operated stand alone and met all the requirements for licensure. The MACH was deployed during Hurricane Sandy on Long Island to aid a facility that was severely damaged by the hurricane.
